Superb. Everything. Honey ricotta on focaccia, herb butter mussels, sugar snap peas with trumpet mushrooms, to name a few. Everything felt super farm-to-table which is exactly my vibe. Minus one star because we did have to wait at least 20 minutes past our reservation time for our table to be cleared. Also waiter had an attitude.

My husband and I dined at Vicia for the first time as a belated anniversary meal before going to The Fox. We agreed that this is now our spot for dinner before a show! The restaurant was beautiful, the service was excellent...and the FOOD! We tried the fried rice appetizer, miso cured trout, and butternut squash with farro. Everything was gorgeous and cooked to perfection. The textures and depth of flavor were just incredible. We couldn't resist sharing the earl grey tres leches with rhubarb for dessert, and learned it was the first day that was on the menu. It was the perfect way to cap off our meal. That rhubarb sorbet was simply to die for. We appreciated knowledgeable our server Koree was about the story behind the menu and ingredients. She was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Truly, the whole experience was a treat. We walked out saying we couldn't wait to come back - and we will!

I discovered the restaurant through a report I read about the chef being nominated for an award, which piqued my curiosity. It was an excellent surprise! The restaurant is beautiful, modern, cozy, and welcoming. The staff is kind and professional, and the menu, though compact, offers outstanding options. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! The open kitchen is particularly fascinating. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience—congratulations to the entire team!

We went to Vicia for the first time to celebrate my birthday and boy were we impressed. I had heard of Vicia through the STL magazines and the James Beard Foundation, so I had high hopes. Luckily our experience lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is beautiful with open space and lots of windows. Depending on where you sit, you have a great view of the kitchen as well. The staff were welcoming, professional and friendly. Very good first impression. I was initially considering getting an appetizer and cocktail before starting dinner, but I'm glad I didn't or I would have been uncomfortably stuffed. We decided to go with the "Let us cook for you" menu option where they choose the dishes to eat that night as well as the regular and elevated wine pairings. They described it as similar to a tasting menu without the formality of one, which I think is a fantastic idea. The chefs also adjust the portion size based on your party size, which is helpful if there are more than just 2 people in a party. This allowed us to sample a lot of the dishes and not have to think about it. The first course consisted of 5 starters (Albacore tuna sashimi, turnips, mussels on the half shell, focaccia, crispy rice). My favorites were the sashimi and crispy rice. It can be tough to pair wine with so many dishes, but the sommelier talked about the wines and we had fun deciding which wine went with which food best. Second course was three dishes (Sugar snap peas, lamb cavatelli and BBQ pork collar). The lamb and pork were so rich and delicious with the peas to cut through with some nice acidity and sweetness. For dessert, we were given the crepe creme brulee and a small piece of chocolate cake for my birthday, which was super nice. I tell you, I'd never thought to brulee a crepe, but holy cow it was amazing. Not too sweet with a nice crunch and soft texture together. Would 100% recommend. Overall, such a wonderful experience at Vicia and cannot wait to come back for their frequently rotated menu to try something new.

We wanted to try the farm to table concept for a special occasion. So we went to Vicia. It's a very expensive restaurant but the food and the experience was worth it. Their specialty is the chef's choice. We didn't try that though as each member of our group wanted to pick their own choice of entree. We ordered pork chops, and trout from the sea. Freshly made food tastes exceptionally good. The Old Fashioned I ordered was fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly. Great ambience to enjoy meals with the family.

Dinner at Vicia was unforgettable from start to finish. This gem—recently ranked number two on Ian Froeb’s Top 100 Restaurants list—absolutely lives up to the hype. Located in the heart of St. Louis at 4260 Forest Park Avenue (entrance on Boyle St.), Vicia delivers an elevated dining experience that’s both creative and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, the warm ambiance and thoughtful decor set the tone for an extraordinary night. I started with refreshingly crafted cocktails and perfectly chilled champagne. Every course that followed was exceptional—from the heavenly focaccia with its signature butter to an incredible chicken dish that quickly became the standout of the meal. A huge shoutout to Nick Zobrist, our server, whose charm, attentiveness, and spot-on recommendations made the evening even more memorable. Even more special? Sharing the meal with an amazing group of women who brought laughter, conversation, and great energy to the table. Nights like this remind me how powerful great food and great company can be. If you haven’t been to Vicia yet, move it to the top of your list. It’s a must for anyone who appreciates thoughtful dining and locally inspired cuisine. Went here for dinner after an intimate wedding. There were about 12 of us and we were seated on the patio at a nice long table. We had the fixed menu without the pairing. It was AMAZING! Even the way they served the food with 4 or five servers coming out at the same time was impressive. And the main server Caity was knowledgeable and very nice The farm to table food to delicious and light with some veggies coming from the garden just outside the venue. The whole evening was just perfect. I would definitely go again and highly recommend anyone to go and have this experience. 5* all the way!

This place is a gem for vegetarians! They offer a great variety of delicious dishes, and every bite is packed with flavor. The desserts are absolutely fantastic — definitely a must-try. They also have a good selection of wine to complement the meal. Highly recommend!
